Don Juan Carlos pisses off Felipe VI with his return to Spain: “There is a pretty tough confrontation”

“Don Juan Carlos has been in direct confrontation with King Felipe VI for a week, and that communication that existed previously is breaking down,” Galiacho assured in four a day. “They tell me that every three days there is a pretty tough confrontation.”

The emeritus has been tired of his exile in Abu Dhabi for a long time. He considers that he has been prudent and respectful of the times that his son and his Government have marked and believes that it is time to enjoy greater freedom of movement. Hence his trip to Paris last February to accompany Mario Vargas Llosa on his appointment as a member of the French Academy; as well as his assistance to funeral of Constantine of Greece, in January. In May, Juan Carlos not only intends to attend the Sanxenxo regattas (on the 19th, 20th and 21st) but also the coronation of Carlos III on the 6th in London, something that Pedro Sánchez does not see with good eyes. According to the sources consulted, the Executive has asked Casa Real for the emeritus to apologize publicly if he wants to continue participating in media events in the company of the head of state.
