Courtois and Hazard will have extra days of rest, after Roberto Martínez, the Belgian coach, has released them. Belgium achieved mathematically qualification for the World Cup in Qatar by beating Estonia (3-1) last Saturday and nothing is played in the game that they must play this Tuesday against Wales. Faced with this situation, the coach has decided that the two madridistas return to their club.
This is a relief for Ancelotti, albeit for different reasons. In the case of Courtois, the goalkeeper recently complained about the tight schedule and these days of rest will serve to disconnect. He is a key piece for the Italian coach and also in his national team, so on few occasions he will have weeks with a single game, as this will be (Madrid plays next Sunday at 4:15 p.m. in Granada).
As for Hazard, a risk of injury is avoided. He played 63 minutes against Estonia that will come in handy in order to continue picking up pace, since in the last month he has counted very little for Ancelotti. The Italian, however, is aware that the season is very long and he is still confident of recovering a good version of Hazard, something that he has not achieved this year.
Besides Hazard and Courtois, Ancelotti also recovers Casemiro before time, that he saw a yellow in his match against Colombia that carries suspension. Three good news for Carletto because a very tight schedule awaits Madrid in this final stretch of the season.
