Chilean Thumb guides Fiorentina's victory to close the course

Chilean international Erick Pulgar, Fiorentina midfielder, determined this Sunday the 3-1 victory for his team in the field of Spal de Ferrara with a penalty goal and an assist, on the thirty-eighth and final day of Serie A.

Under 30 degrees in the Paolo Mazza stadium in Ferrara, Pulgar, 26, decided the match in the last minutes. With the 1-1 in the light, he hung in the center 89 from a corner kick so that the Ivorian Christian Kouamé scored the 2-1 and, in added time, transformed the maximum penalty of the final 3-1.

The Chilean midfielder closed his Serie A with seven goals and seven assists in what is the most prolific year of his Italian career, started in 2015 with the Bologna jersey.

He only scored more in the 2014-2015 season, when he played at the Catholic University and signed eight goals between all competitions.

Fiorentina finished the year in tenth position while Spal went down to Serie B, the Second Division, as bottom after three years in the top flight.
