Álvaro Robles falls in the Pre-Olympic and will have to wait for the ranking to know if he will be in Paris

MADRID, 19 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish Álvaro Robles has fallen this Sunday in the quarterfinals of the individual table tennis Pre-Olympic, which is being held in Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina), and will have to wait until the world ranking closes to find out if he achieves individual qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The Huelva native arrived at the last day as the only Spanish option to get a direct ticket for the Paris event. However, he was defeated by Moldovan Vladislav Ursu 3-4 (11-4, 10-12, 11-9, 11-8, 5-11, 6-11, 7-11).

With this defeat, Robles will have to wait for the world ranking to close to qualify for the Olympic Games. The final ranking will close on June 18, after the Slovenia international, which will be the last event that will count towards the ranking.
