The Spanish Carolina Marín qualified this Saturday for the final of the European Badminton Championship, which is being held in the German city of Saarbrücken, thanks to her comfortable victory by 21-16 and 21-7 against the Danish Julie Dawall Jakobsen.

Marín, seven-time continental champion for her six gold medals in the European Championships and her other gold in the European Games last year, won with much superiority over Jakobsen. Not in vain, the Huelva player was never behind on the scoreboard against the eighth seed in this tournament.

The first point of the match fell to the Andalusian side, then there was a 1-1 score and from 2-1 Marín’s advantage only grew; This reached five points (11-6), a distance that continued until the first set was settled in a matter of 20 minutes.

The next round lasted even less, where Marín started with a 5-0 partial that put the ground in between. Jakobsen was unable to stop the bleeding until he found himself down 11-1, leading to his defeat. In this way, the Huelva native managed her income to end up winning and reach the final.
