Borja Mayoral and Gonzalo Villar arrive on loan to Getafe

Getafe made official this Thursday the incorporation of Spaniards Borja Mayoral and Gonzalo Villar, on loan until the end of the season from AS Roma, as announced by the Madrid team in a statement.

“AS Roma and Getafe CF reach an agreement for the transfer of the footballers, Borja Mayoral and Gonzalo Villar,” said the club, which also announced that the presentation of both will be this Friday at 12.00.

Borja Mayoral, international in the lower categories of the Spanish team and trained in the Real Madrid quarry, made his debut with the first white team and, in addition to that of Rome, he has worn the shirt of Levante UD and Wolfsburg. He has two European Championships with the U-19 and the U-21 in his record, he is European champion in 17/18, a Super Cup in 17/18, and two Club World Cups in 2017 and 2018.

Gonzalo Villar played for Elche CF in the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons, to sign in Rome in the 2020/21 season. He also went through the Valencia Mestalla, from 2015 to 2018.

In a video shared on Getafe’s social networks, both players claimed to be “very happy” and “eager” to bring “enthusiasm” to the fans. “We come from the Coliseo to the Coliseum, we want to get the first three long-awaited points against Granada,” said Villar.
