Andrea Gaudenzi, re-elected as ATP president until 2026

The Italian tennis player Andrea Gaudenzi has been re-elected this Monday president of the Association of Professional Tennis Players (ATP) until 2026, to continue establishing the “new bases for the growth of the sport”, according to a statement.

“It is an honor to be appointed for a second term as ATP Chairman, I am proud of all we have achieved since 2020, during a particularly difficult time for the world and more convinced than ever that our sport has enormous potential. We are good positioned to take advantage of the digital era”, declared the leader in the note shared by the ATP.

Under Gaudenzi’s tenure, the ATP has put “radical reforms” into OneVision’s strategic plan aimed at “laying new foundations for the growth of tennis”, which has already generated the largest annual increase in player prize money in history. of the organization, with a rise of 34.3 million euros year on year on the ATP Tour and Challenger Tour.

OneVision enhancements include a 50-50 profit split that aligns player and tournament interests, plus the introduction of the 12-day ATP Masters 1000, providing “greater chances” of matches and prize money for more players .

Other achievements under Gaudenzi’s tenure include, together with ATP Media, the establishment of ‘Tennis Data Innovations’ (TDI), which will “significantly” increase his ATP revenue from 2024 to 2029, and the long-term aggregation of rights to the media.
