Adriana Cerezo takes bronze at the Riyadh Grand Prix Final

The Spanish Adriana Cerezo climbed the podium this Saturday in the Grand Prix Final of Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), the event that brought together the best in the world for the last time in 2022, with a bronze medal in the -49 kg category.

The woman from Madrid, Olympic runner-up in Tokyo 2020 last summer, continues to grow with a view to the 2024 Paris Games, where she has the goal of gold. Cerezo, 19, defeated the world champion, the Mexican Daniela Souza, in the fight for bronze in Riyadh.

The Spanish, European champion last year before her hit at the Games at the age of 17, thus added her tenth medal of 2022 and good points in the Olympic ranking. The Thai Panipak Wongpattanakit, gold in Tokyo 2020, beat the Turkish Merve Dincel in the final.
