MADRID, 28 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The communicator, youtuber and athlete Valentí Sanjuan has concluded this weekend at the Playa de la Mar Bella in Barcelona the solidarity challenge of completing a double ultraman, 1,030 kilometers, in six days, with 20 kilometers swimming, 842 by bike and 168 running , to give visibility to the fight against ALS.

The ‘Jabalí’ Sanjuan has had the support of former soccer player and former FC Barcelona coach Juan Carlos Unzué, a patient diagnosed with ALS, and will donate all the proceeds from his broadcast and documentary to the Luzón Foundation for the fight against ALS.

“It has been the biggest and best thing I’ve ever done. There have been very beautiful moments, but also very hard ones. In those moments I always remembered the phrase that Juan Carlos Unzué told me: when you see that you can’t take it anymore and that you want to throw in the towel, think that I would give everything to be doing it. So this challenge is for Juan Carlos and for all the people who unfortunately have ALS,” said Sanjuan, excited after reaching the Double Ultraman goal for ALS.

In the six days that this Solidarity Double Ultraman has lasted, more than 1 million people have followed the broadcasts of Valentí Sanjuan daily on Twitch, where the athlete narrated his journey live.

“Giving ALS visibility is very important because we live in a society where what is not visible does not exist. Valentí had the idea of doing this animal show, he told me about it and I put him in contact with the Luzón Foundation, which is in charge of raising funds for the benefit of ALS research, a disease in great need of resources”, says Unzué.

“What Valentí has done this week is very great, sportingly and socially. He knows his body, but above all he knows his mind and this challenge was head on. I had no doubt that he was going to achieve it,” added the former coach.

This challenge has been supported by YoPRO, which offers a range of products specially designed for those people who integrate sport as a key element in their day-to-day life and who know that protein is essential to boost their workouts, as well as for recovery. muscular.
