Two blows from Belgium leave England out of the Nations League (2-0)

They are not in the final phase, but almost. Belgium prevailed in the titans' duel against England and will play their place in the semifinals against Denmark next Wednesday. Roberto Martínez's team, which celebrated its 50th game with the ‘Red Devils’ with victory, showed more punch than inconsistent ‘pross’ led by Kane and Grealish, the only two who created some danger before Thibaut Courtois's goal.

Belgium tried to impose themselves from the start, elaborating their attacks a lot and taking possession of the ball against an England more on the lookout. Almost without knowing how, the ‘pross’ were below on the scoreboard after a dry shot by Tielemans, the first of the two claws by the ‘red devils’ in this first half.

The stick allied with the Leicester midfielder, who opened the can demonstrating Belgium's punch. On the next play, Kane had the draw in his head, but Lukaku, on the finish line, repelled the attempt of the English ‘killer’.

England wanted but could not against a very well planted Belgium on the field of play and that struck again with a masterful free-kick from Mertens.

Gareth Southgate's men wanted to get one more gear up, but Grealish and Kane found themselves too alone to put the Belgian team in trouble.

The second part had a clear English color, although Belgium was able to resist the challenges of the ‘pross’ and took a victory that is not definitive due to Denmark's victory over Iceland.

Next Wednesday, the ‘red devils’ will play to be or not to be in the semi-finals of the Nations League against Denmark.
