MADRID, 18 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish women’s basketball team will meet this Tuesday its three rivals in the qualifying phase for the 2025 Eurobasket, which will be held in the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece and Italy, in a draw that will take place starting at 2:00 p.m. in the Swiss town of Mies and where he will start as seeded.

Spain, current continental runner-up, is placed in pot 1, so it already knows that it will avoid other great powers such as Belgium, its executioner in the last final, France and Serbia, and that it will be placed with those in pot 4, 5 and 8.

In this sense, the main dangers are in pot 4 with teams like Latvia, which already defeated Miguel Méndez’s team in the last Eurobasket, or Croatia, in addition to Ukraine and Poland, while they are more affordable in pot 5 (Lithuania, Portugal, Israel and the Netherlands) and 8 (North Macedonia, Ireland, Austria and Azerbaijan).

The first classified in each of the eight groups will get the ticket for the next Eurobasket along with the four best seconds of a qualifying phase that will start in its first ‘window’ between November 9 and 12 of this year. The second will take place between November 7 and 10, 2024 and the third and last between February 6 and 9, 2025.
