Since he withdrew from the Masters Tournament in April after playing two rounds, Woods, who is now 47 years old, has not competed for the PGA Tour.

As a result of the injuries he got in the vehicle accident in February 2021, he needed to have surgery on April 19 to repair the post-traumatic arthritis that had developed in his right ankle.

In order to treat arthritis brought on by a previous talus fracture, Dr. Martin O’Malley of the HSS Sports Medicine University in New York performed the subtalar fusion treatment. After the operation, he “determined that the surgery had been successful.”

This past weekend, Woods caddied for his son Charlie during the Notah Begay III Junior Golf Championship in Louisiana. During that event, Woods walked and carried his son’s bag for the entirety of the tournament’s 54 holes.

It is yet unknown when Woods will make his comeback to the professional golf circuit. Between November 30 and December 3, he will preside over the Hero World Challenge event in the Bahamas, the proceeds of which will go to his foundation.

Together with his son during the course of the previous three years, he has taken part in the PNC Championship held in Orlando, Florida. The dates are the 14th through the 17th of December.
