The Norwegian Espen Eskas will referee the Real Madrid-Unión Berlin

The Englishman Michael Oliver will direct the Real Sociedad-Inter and the German Tobias Stieler, the Sevilla-Lens

MADRID, 18 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Norwegian Espen Eskas will be in charge of refereeing this Wednesday the first match of the group stage of the Champions League between Real Madrid and Unión Berlin at the Santiago Bernabéu (6:45 p.m.), while the German Tobias Stieler will do the same in the duel between Sevilla FC and Lens and the Englishman Michael Oliver, in the clash between Real Sociedad and Inter Milan.

The 35-year-old Scandinavian referee will lead a match for the white team for the first time in the top continental competition. In summer, he already served justice in the final of the U21 European Championship between Spain and England, in which Santi Denia’s team lost.

Meanwhile, at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán (9:00 p.m.), Stieler, 42, will direct the match between the Nervionenses and French side Lens that same Wednesday. He will referee both for the first time.

For his part, Michael Oliver, 38, will be the designated coach for the duel between the San Sebastian team and the Italian Inter at the Reale Arena (9:00 p.m.), the first experience of the ‘txuri urdin’ team with the Englishman.
