The Generalitat: “Barça-Naples can be played at the Camp Nou”

In a letter sent to UEFA signed by the handwriting of Josep Maria Argimon, Secretary of Public Health, the Generalitat makes it very clear that Barcelona-Naples “can be played” and that “there are no public health concerns” that put behind closed doors at risk.

Already in the beginning of lto missive, to which Ace has had access, it is made clear that Barcelona is a “safe and responsible” destination. The Ministry of Public Health admits that “as in other parts of Europe”, outbreaks have occurred, but that thanks to an exhaustive system of tests, they have been controlled.

The Generalitat makes it clear that it has implemented all the measures to contain the expansion of the coronavirus and ensure the safety of those who live in Barcelona or travel to Barcelona. That is why the Generalitat confirms that the game can be played and that all the measures required in the UEFA protocol can be met, also those that have to do with the safety of the 350 people that the European body allows to be in the stadium on game day.

The Generalitat makes itself available to UEFA in case it is required for any other dispute, and ends by saying that the Department of Public Health is absolutely “committed” to public health and safety in Barcelona.
