Terelu, outraged with TVE after the audience failure of the tribute to her mother: “I didn't like the day they chose”

TVE broadcast a tribute to Maria Teresa Campos. Although social networks unanimously applauded the program for the elegance with which it was done and the number of colleagues in the profession, well-known friends and artists who participated, the audience data did not reflect the same. The program hit audiences with 7.2% share and 728,000 spectators, being the fourth option in its strip behind Telecinco, Antena 3 and Cuatro.

Terelu Campos He spoke about it this Wednesday on his blog Readings: “On January 4th I found out that the tribute we recorded for my mother was going to be broadcast the next day. With all my respects to the network that aired it: they could have thought of it before and promoted it with more time“.

María Teresa's eldest daughter, who presented the tribute, has given the public entity a slap on the wrist: “Promotion is essential in public media. We had less than 24 hours for people to find out about the broadcast, so “We had no choice but to jump into the pool.” Regarding the chosen date, she also said: “I didn't like the day they chose, I'm not going to lie to you. In fact, I called the general director of TVE to tell him so”.

Terelu, however, tried to seek consolation: “Then there was a part that calmed me down, after talking to my sister. Our mother's favorite thing in the world was Three Kings' night and day. She hated being told that “She was the queen of the mornings, but it drove her crazy to be a magician queen. She began to compare the gifts of kings at the beginning of October.”

The presenter has had no qualms about expressing her discomfort despite the fact that she has worked at TVE since the end of Save me: collaborate in Mornings and also participates as a contestant in Bake Off: celebrities in the ovenalong with other celebrities like her great friend Rocio Carrasco. The program premieres this Thursday, January 11.

Despite the audience results of the tribute, she is proud of the work done: “Social networks began to burn with messages full of emotion for the recognition we were giving to our mother. If I have one thing clear, it is that my mother has given her life for her audience and all of them have shown her how much they respect her, love her and miss her.“.

The great artists of the musical scene accompanied Terelu and Carmen Borrego, the director, on this great night: Pablo López, Vanesa Martín, Lorena Gómez, Tamara, Raphael, Pastora Soler or Miguel Povedawho performed the song Madrethe same one he sang at María Teresa's funeral. “Thanks to all of them, including international artists like Gloria Estefan and Chayanne, and thanks also to all the journalism professionals”writes Terelu.

The stalls were also full of familiar faces: Eugenia Martínez de Irujo y Narcís Rebollo, Gustavo The Driver, Alejandro Rubio, José Carlos Bernal, Lara Dibildos, Rocío Carrasco, Alejandra Prat, Alicia García Campoyetc.
