SPAL surprises Atalanta and leaves 'Champions' out of positions

MADRID, Jan. 20 (SportsFinding) –

The SPAL has surprised at home this Monday, in the last game of the twentieth day of Serie A, Atalanta (1-2), a result that leaves Bergamo out of the access zone to the Champions League and which brings the places of salvation for the 'biancazzurri'.

After a quarter of an hour of play at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia, Duván Zapata set up a good center that Josip Ilicic, on goal, took the opportunity to advance to the local team.

However, six minutes of the second part were enough for the modest SPAL to turn around the crash; in 54, Andrea Petagna successfully completed a great counterattack, and already in 60 a powerful shot of Mattia Valoti from the front served to seal the comeback.

In this way, Atalanta (35), which links two days without winning, goes down to fifth place and is surpassed by AS Roma (38), which won in Genoa (1-3). For its part, the SPAL leaves the position of the colist and is already last-last with 15 units, one of the zone of permanence.
