Sevilla makes history and is the club that has played the most European finals in the 21st century

Sevilla players have won the five finals of this tournament played between 2006 and 2016, which gave them the right to dispute as many Super Cups continental, of which they won one, the first, and lost the next four.

Until tonight Sevilla shared this mark of ten finals with Real Madrid, winner of the Champions League in 2002, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018, titles that add up to four Super Cups, all except the last one.

Since the 2000-01 season, Liverpool is the third most frequent club to the continental finals, with nine appearances: the Champions League in 2005, 2007, 2018 and 2019; the Europa League in 2001 and 2016, when he lost precisely against Sevilla; and the Super Cup in 2001, 2005 and 2019.

Two other Spanish clubs, Barcelona and Atlético, continue in this classification of European finals during the 21st century with eight presences each.
