Serena's husband responds to Tiriac: “My three-year-old daughter has more Grand Slam than him”

The statements of the president of the Romanian Tennis Federation Ion Tiriac about Serena Williams, to whom he suggested in an interview that “if he had decency, he should withdraw”, have generated a lot of controversy, especially in the environment of the tennis player, who has also responded harshly to the Romanian leader.

One of the strongest responses has been that of Serena Williams' own husband, Alexis Ohanian, through social networks. In a response to journalist José Morgado, who shared Tiriac's statements along with the comment: “I'm sure Serena won't play in Madrid anymore,” Ohanian replied: “It's safe to say that nobody gives a damn what Ion Tiriac thinks.”

A response to which Ohanian himself put even more emphasis with the following tweet: “I had to Google it …. it turns out that my 3-year-old daughter has more Grand Slam titles than this clown,” next to a Google capture in which it is read that Ion Tiriac did not win any Grand Slam during his professional stage, while Serena won the 2017 Australian Open pregnant with her little girl Alexis Olympia (she heard the news just two days before the tournament started).

Finally Ohanian once again attacked Tiriac and all those who put or question his wife's performance on the circuit. “It's 2021 and I'm not going to hold back when a racist and sexist clown with a platform comes after my family.” Now, Serena will try to answer Tiriac on the tennis courts in search of her 24th Grand Slam and match the historic mark of Margaret Court, the tennis player with the greatest in history.
