Albacete striker Roman Zozulia has lamented the criticism of Rayo Vallecano's fans, who has accused him of “fascist, Nazi and racist” since his frustrated signing by the Madrid team, and has described the sanction of 18,000 euros as “ridiculous” and the partial closure of the Estadio de Vallecas for two days.

“When it all started, I was a fascist. Then they started to see my Facebook and I became a Nazi, then I was racist and, I did not listen to it, but they told me that they yelled at me 'communist'. They are not clear,” he said in an interview with the Ukrainian sports website Football hub about the ironic critics of the Vallecas fans “Zozulia was a joke, Zozulia is a communist” when the December 15 party threatened to be suspended.

The Ukrainian international went further and aimed to be the next thing to be shouted at. “Soon they will say that I am fag. Maricn is gay in Spanish. I'm already waiting for him“, he said.” When 30,000 people sing a song about you … The first year, I didn't understand the language, I didn't understand anything, but now I understand everything. To be honest, give strength, “he said.

“Never understand. I went cheap, because they were two games without spectators and a fine of 18,000 euros. That is ridiculous to me. They reproach me that 18 is a fascist, Nazi or communist figure and they have a fine of 18,000, it is very funny, “he adds, referring to number 18, which alphabetically corresponds to the letters 'a' and 'h' and that in the Nazi ideology refers to Adolf Hitler, and that was the dorsal with which he posed in one of his controversial photographs.

The match between Rayo and Albacete of the 20th day of LaLiga SmartBank was suspended on December 15 after a part of the Vallecas stand gave out “Nazi fucking, Zozulia you are a Nazi“, on the return of the Ukrainian player to Vallecas almost three years after his frustrated signing in the winter market of 2017.

On that occasion, Zozulia was forced to return to Real Betis by being declared “not welcome” by much of the Vallecana fans, accusing him of sympathizing with the Nazi ideology. The player ended up signing in summer for Albacete, with which he returned last December to the Vallecano state.

On February 7, the Appeals Committee of the Royal Spanish Federation of Soccer (RFEF) dismissed the appeal of Rayo Vallecano and confirmed the partial closure of Vallecas Stadium for two days, 29 and 31, and confirmed the fine of 18,000 euros.
