Second B promotion playoff: matches, results and who qualifies

Playoff Saturday started with surprise. Algeciras passed over Sanse and qualified for the final next weekend. Next Monday, at 12:30, the confrontations will be known through a pure draw. The excitement of the format means that surprises can be given and thus they have been given to the first of changes. The rest of the teams are already taking note. Burgos showed how difficult this playoff is, since the Burgos suffered a lot to get a pass to the final. So much so that they needed an extension to beat Calahorra.

Sanse 1 – ALGECIRAS 3

The Algeciras classification has its own name: Raúl Hernández. The hero of the Cadiz team has been a former Sanse, who has been the executioner of his former team. An overwhelming start in both parts of the game was enough for Salva Ballesta's men to qualify and leave Sanse out of their dream. The match started with Algeciras putting pressure on Sanse who was surprised in minute 1 with the first goal from Raúl Hernández. It took Sanse several minutes to enter the game and he did so thanks to both Marcelo, who put the equalizer on the scoreboard. The Madrilenians, through set pieces, created danger for an Algeciras that suffered until the half-time whistle.

Once they left the changing rooms after the resumption of the game, there was no rival for Algeciras. Another overwhelming departure from Salva's team, which surely gave energy to their team at half-time, this time left the Madrilenians in the dry dock. Álvaro Romero was the player who put the 1-2 on the scoreboard after a great team move by Algeciras. Minutes later, again, Raúl Hernández, from a penalty, put a difference on the scoreboard that Sanse could not overcome. Marcos Jiménez's men tried by all means, but a defense led by Figueras was a rock for the Madrid attacks. Deserved pass from Algeciras to the next round. Salva Ballesta's men promise to make people talk in this playoff.

BURGOS 1 – Calahorra 0

Glory for Burgos, honor for Calahorra. That is the summary of the match that both teams have given us. A meeting that has reached extra time, where the only goal of the match took place. Juanma García, from a penalty, gave the victory to a Burgos who suffered greatly against a combative Calahorra. The Riojans were much superior in the first half, but they did not materialize any occasion. Amorrortu was the Calahorra's greatest generator of danger, but he was not enough.

Already in the second half, Burgos showed the potential that the first classified of Group II has, but neither did they materialize any occasion. So we went to extra time, already with a Calahorra broken after the great effort made during the 90 minutes. Juanma García's goal was a tremendous slab for the Riojans who left their souls not to fall, but they could not do more. The lack of punch and a great Barovero were key in the game. Now, Burgos awaits a rival, he will meet him next Monday.

Linares 1 – AMOREBIETA 2

This playoff Saturday is showing that there are no favorites in this category. After the surprise of Algeciras this morning, Amorebieta has left a Linares on the road who aspired, at least, to play the final of this promotion. The game did not have much history, the pressure was noticeable in both teams and they did not manage to generate chances until the first goal of Amorebieta. With the 0-1 the players went to the locker room.

In the second period, Linares came out with everything to get the tying goal, the work of Fran Lara. But the joy of the Andalusians did not last long, since a few minutes later, Orozko, after a rejection, put the final 1-2 that will allow Amorebieta to be in the hype of the final draw. Razak did everything possible so that his team had options, but the Basque team was a deserved winner.

REAL B 2 – Andorra 1

La Real de Xabi continues its path towards the ascent from full sail. The Txuri-Urdin subsidiary has eliminated Andorta, whose owner is Piqué, after an epic match that was decided in extra time and in which the Andorran team were left with two less men. The match began with a Real B coming out in a whirlwind and getting the Roberto Navarro goal prize. From there, Andorra woke up and managed to equalize the match thanks to a free-kick from Riverola, perhaps Andorra's best man in this semifinal.

With 1-1 on the scoreboard, the game went into extra time. Andorra arrived there with one less player after the expulsion of Martí Vila. But the game got more complicated when Pastor saw the red in extra time. With two more players, those of Xabi Alonso were superior and Lobete made it 2-1 after a great individual play. Andorra will have to try next season; the Sanse, to wait for rival.
