MADRID, 9 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The players of the Spanish wheelchair basketball team Sara Revuelta and Judith Núñez have been together with the Delegate Councilor for Sport of the Madrid City Council, Sofía Miranda, visiting different educational centers in the Orcasitas neighborhood to bring sport closer to the students and especially girls.

Revuelta and Núñez have participated in these events, which are part of the program ‘Girls, sport makes us Powerful!’, promoted by the Madrid City Council and in which Iberdrola and the Spanish Paralympic Committee collaborate.

The players have encouraged girls and young women not only to practice any type of sport, but also not to abandon it, since the program aims to encourage sports practice among girls between the ages of 12 and 24 through this type of talks and meetings with high-level athletes such as these two players of the Spanish wheelchair basketball team.
