Royal House publishes new official portraits of Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía

Golden brooch to a week marked by the princess’s 18th birthday Leonor. After the swearing in of the Constitution this Tuesday, Casa Real has updated this Sunday the portraits of the heir to the throne and the infanta Sofia on the official website of the Spanish Royal Family.

The images have not yet been published independently on the Casa Real portal. And although the author is unknown, the photographs would have been taken on the same day that Leonor swore the Constitution before the Cortes Generales. Proof of this, the styling of both matches the look that they took this Tuesday, October 31.

As the snapshot illustrates, the princess, who appears in the space of Her Royal Highness the Princess of Asturias, is smiling with her new coming of age. Likewise, she wears the white jacket suit, which she custom-made at the Serna Tailor Shop, with the Golden Fleece insignia on her lapel. Along with her photograph, they have selected a fragment of her first speech given in 2020 at the Princess of Asturias Awards celebration (Oviedo).

In the section dedicated to Her Royal Highness the Infanta Doña Sofía, no phrase has yet been selected, since she has not presided over any official act alone. In the photograph she shows her pristine smile and, unlike her sister, she sports loose hair. Likewise, her style also coincides with what she wore in the Congress of Deputies: a floral Erdem mini dress with a back layer, valued at 278 euros.

The old portraits

The Crown has removed the portraits that the photographer took in 2020 Ester de Castro. The images had great historical weight, since it was the first official pose of Letizia as queen and in a gala dress. In addition, it was also the infanta’s debut in this type of photography.
