Rodríguez Uribes: “My desire is to work with all sports actors, hand in hand”

MADRID, 29 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, advocated this Friday for “working with all the actors in sport” in the face of his newly released mandate, going “hand in hand” so that the group of Spanish successes be “a reference in the world.”

“My desire is to work with all sports actors, hand in hand, to always put Spanish sport in the positive focus, as we are a benchmark in the world. I come from UNESCO and we are known to a large extent for our values. of sport in Spain and for what we are doing, for what our great athletes mean. That is my will and my vocation,” he told Gol Play from Maspalomas (Gran Canaria).

He attended the XXVII LaLiga FC Futures International Tournament, an under-12 category event that is a must-see event every Christmas and which was his first act as president of the CSD. “When they invited me, I did not hesitate to come. I am happy to be here, to see those who will soon be the future players of our League and our championships,” he said.

“This is an example of grassroots sport, of how things are built from below. And the truth is that it is a pleasure to watch them play and see the enthusiasm they have and the passion they put into it. And I believe that yes, here is the future of our football,” added Uribes before analyzing his own objectives.

“We have great challenges, very important I would say. Of course the Paris Olympic Games. We have to design the 2030 World Cup well with Morocco and Portugal. And then we have very great challenges with all our sports,” concluded the new president of the CSD.
