Real Madrid has won the ‘FIFA 22 Team Of The Season (TOTS)’ awards with 6 players from the 15 selected, who recognize their performance this season, in an award that celebrates its first edition this year with LaLiga together with EA Sports
Courtois; Militao, Araújo, Alaba, Koundé; Modric, Pedri, Fekir; Benzema, Vinicius, Joao Felix; Acuña, Canales, Raúl de Tomás and Iker Muniain have been the 15 winners thanks to the popular vote; to the votes of players through the Players App and to the committee of experts, explains LaLiga.
These awards promoted by LaLiga, together with EA SPORTS, were born with the “objective of recognizing the best goalkeeper, the 4 best defenders, the 3 most outstanding midfielders and the 3 top strikers in LaLiga”, indicates the organization.
In a gala that could be followed by YouTube, Facebook and Twitch of LaLiga, Movistar and Gol, the protagonists were grateful for an award that “will mark a starting point for future editions”.
Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, highlighted “the importance and pride that it means for LaLiga to be able to present these awards for the first time”. “We hope that they will become a hallmark of the competition and one more reason for a sense of belonging to LaLiga”, he added.
It is a historic award that has been given for the first time to players in the competition, based on the performance achieved throughout the season and following the usual model that EA SPORTS uses in FIFA to reward the best weekly players in its ‘Team Of The Week’.
The FIFA 22 Team Of The Season (TOTS) awards have had 46 nominees from 15 different LaLiga Santander clubs until reaching the 15 best players of the season who have been chosen through a total of more than 800,000 votes among the voting popular, professional players and the Committee of Experts.
