Good news for Real Madrid fans: the UK Government will allow Chelsea to sell tickets again, which means that Madrid supporters will be able to attend the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final match at Stamford Bridge between their team and that of Thomas Tichel next April 6.
Chelsea was banned from selling tickets following UK government sanctions on Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich, owner of the London club, for his links to Russian President Vladimir Putin over the invasion of Ukraine.

Chelsea have been granted a license to continue operating as a club but with strict limitations on their commercial projects. However, the British Government confirmed that the terms of the license now allow Champions League tickets to be resold.
The easing of restrictions means that Chelsea can sell tickets, but the money will go to UEFA. The ‘blue’ club cannot sell new tickets for Premier League matches at home to its fans, but visiting fans will be able to purchase tickets.
Chelsea fans will also be able to attend the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley against Crystal Palace on 16 or 17 April with the tournament organizers receiving the proceeds. The second leg of the quarterfinals between Chelsea and Real Madrid will be played on April 12 at the Santiago Bernabéu.
