When rayism unites it is unstoppable and this torrent of solidarity is coming to fruition. The solidarity initiative of the franjirroja hobby obtained almost 35,000 euros, which are being used to provide the necessary sanitary material in the fight against the coronavirus to different centers in the neighborhood. At the moment, delivery of 27 hydroalcoholic gel bottles, 150 protective glasses, 100 disposable gowns, 100 pants and 100 disposable towels to the Infanta Leonor and Vírgen de la Torre hospitals. The Villa de Vallecas Reception Center has also received three other bottles of disinfecting gel.
Aid also focuses on particularly unprotected groups before an epidemic of such magnitude. Hence, the ADRV Platform has also agreed to homeless people in an IFEMA pavilion. They have been given sports equipment, among which are 100 jerseys and 20 backpacks from the Second Rayism Race, 8 soccer balls, another 2 basketballs and 2 inflators for these. And although they are still “in the process of obtaining large quantities of medical equipment”, this contribution has been very important for hundreds of professionals and anonymous.
For its part, Rayo Vallecano, through its Foundation and in collaboration with the Margi company, manufactured 12,000 protective masks that were distributed this weekend by different hospitals in the Community of Madrid. Centers that have already been able to use them in the treatment of patients. However, this initiative does not end here, since the franjirrojo club plans to continue producing more masks of this type, in accordance with the procurement of materials.
