PSG intends to save €35M in its strategy with Mbappé

The next few months for Kylian Mbappé are quite tense. This Tuesday, the newspaper The Parisian reported that PSG had sent a final offer to the player whose salary amounted to €50 million net per season and an XXL bonus of €100 million. The French international has not yet responded, but from Paris they still trust in a possible contract extension.

However, The Parisian newspaper stresses that PSG wants to save the 35 million euros it still owes Monaco for Mbappé. In case of sale or renewal of the attacker, the current leader of Ligue 1 had to pay said amount to the Monegasque team. What Leonardo and Al-Khelaïfi want is for him to be free until July 1 and have him sign as a free agent. Those 35 million that PSG would save could be used to pay the €100 million net bonus that it has offered Mbappé in case he ends up renewing.

Regarding the DNCG, the financial body that supervises the accounts of French clubs, PSG has, a priori, everything under control. Although during the current year it has not reached, nor has it come close to, the 200 million that Leonardo had presented in July, the financial institution only asks you as a requirement that you have solvency to mitigate losses. With QSI, PSG have enough money both not to suffer on their own and to renew Kylian Mbappé.

In addition to Kylian, PSG is trying to renew another Mbappé. This is Ethan, the star’s little brother of the Parisian team and who plays as a midfielder in the U-15 team. Bringing his brother closer to a renewal could be a compelling reason to try to convince Mbappé to continue in Paris. However, the former Monaco player is focused solely and exclusively on winning the Champions League with his team.
