PSG, against Tebas: “There are unbearable debts in Spain”

PSG has decided to take action and has responded firmly to Javier Tebas. The president of La Liga accused the Parisian team several days ago of being a state club and of not complying with financial rules, something that has not gone unnoticed by the current leader of Ligue 1, who has wanted to make it clear to Tebas that the club does not violate the rules of European football.

“Dear Javier Tebas. You allow yourself the luxury of publicly attacking Ligue 1, to our club, our players – and the training teams – but also to lovers of French football, making insulting and defamatory comments that suggest that we do not respect the economic rules that govern football. Year after year, it has not gone unnoticed that we comply with UEFA regulations and in France in particular those of the DNCG. It is also useful to emphasize the LFP, which, unlike La Liga, has not waited to put measures in place and establish strong financial control ”, reads the beginning of the statement.

Also, add: “It is known that some Spanish clubs and their League face unbearable levels of debt after a flagrant mismanagement, not to mention the way in which Spanish football has been financed in the last decade, including the State ”.

The LFP also responds to Thebes

Like PSG, the LFP has also had words towards Javier Tebas: “The words of the president of the Spanish Football League are not worthy of the institution that he represents and that the LFP has always respected. The LFP therefore asks Mr. Javier Tebas to review his statements. The LFP and the Ligue do not have the same relationship that relations between leagues should have. The LFP does not want to be Mr. Tebas's agitated “crutch” to hide the internal problems that Spanish professional football is currently experiencing ”.

Furthermore, the LFP reminds Thebes that “The financial generosity that Spanish clubs have benefited from over many seasons and which are at the origin of the current problems is not their responsibility or that of PSG. On this matter, the LFP does not have to receive any lesson in the matter of financial control to the clubs. The European leagues must unite to confront the threats around the international calendar ”.

And Thebes is not silent

The president of LaLiga has put a tweet in which he replies to the forceful writing of PSG: “Our inexpensive control works perfectly. I invite the French league and PSG to visit us to see that the debt ratios of our clubs are the most sustainable in Europe, and also the Paris Saint Germain report. “
