Pol Espargaró: “The fans will give me the boost I need”

BARCELONA, 31 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish MotoGP rider Pol Espargaró (Repsol Honda Team) assured that the local fans that may be at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this weekend, at the Catalunya Grand Prix, will help him improve and recognized that it is what he needs right now.

“I know the home crowd will give me an extra boost this weekend. After some tough races, this is just what I need to get our year back to where it needs to be,” he said in statements provided by the team.

Despite the irregularity in the season, he assured that he arrives at the home appointment, literally for him being from Granollers -next to the Circuit-, as “motivated and focused” as always. “From the first free practice sessions we will work to achieve our goals,” he said.

“There are still many races to be played and what we find in them can help us a lot at the end of the year. In addition, with the test on Monday we will have many hours on the bike to be able to understand everything,” he said in this regard.

For his part, the test driver Stefan Bradl, who will replace Marc Márquez again until he recovers from the new operation on his shoulder -he is operated on this week-, assured that he wishes him “the best” with the operation and subsequent Recovery.

“I’m here for everything HRC and the Repsol Honda Team need until Marc returns. We’ve all seen the level of MotoGP, so we know the challenge ahead, but I’m confident that working with Honda and the team we can get something. Let’s see what the weekend holds for us,” said the German.
