The team had made a great effort and we were not well adjusted and with the changes and with the new structure we did not let Salva Sevilla think and that they did not connect with Abdon Prats and Amath. Pride and satisfaction for the season: “I am tired, exhausted, like the whole team. There has been a lot of tension, a lot of situations … With the circumstances that we went to Tenerife, nobody imagined that we would be like this now. The important thing is to think about the day to day. Work, train, prepare for each game and be brave. We are exhausted, but we have 20 days and four games left. I have always wanted to keep my balance. We are always proud of everyone's work. I don't know how many players have already participated during the season. We have gone with a roller coaster, but we have maintained a regularity, we came from two defeats and we have managed to rebuild ourselves. Success only exists in the dictionary, here is work, work and work. That is the key. From humility, you just have to think of Oviedo. This has been very good for us. The pity is that this hobby cannot see the dedication and spirit of the team. Today we have recovered it again. The rival was submitting us in the first half, we knew how to hold on and in the second half we made a titanic effort ”.
Future on the bench: “Football gives us many life lessons and until the objective is really clear… We have the experience of last year, there were teams that were saved with five games to go and then they ended up with an outcome they did not want. We have it very close, we are going to savor it and see if in Oviedo we can already certify it and both the club and I talk and everything is clear ”.
Can the final of the League be long ?: “We saw it very close after winning Albacete and with the 0-1 in Las Palmas, which in the end we tied. Then that illusion of being able to fight much higher was generated. To be able to fight for the playoff with eight games to go was a huge dream and tremendous pride in the work of the players. I don't see the players missing their arms. We have many goals, collective and individual. We have changed players and we will continue to do so. We want to create competitiveness. The subsidiary and the youth team are playing things at each other and we have to think about the good of all. We can certify it against Oviedo, surpass last year's points and be as high as possible. It is very important for the coaching staff, players and for the club. The higher you are, the more money goes into the club's coffers. And also because of what we stand for, this great club cannot let us go out onto the pitch and nothing happen. We will go out like today, but tomorrow we will rest. We have a very long week to regain energy and prepare to compete in Oviedo and try to certify everything there ”.
Why is it so hard for you to talk about your renewal ?: “You have to have a lot of balance and think that when everything is closed at the qualifying level to clarify everything. Everything must have its time, we know how football is handled. I've been wearing a lot of wear for a year and a half. Things have to be thought through when everything is certified. There is a lot of complicity, a lot of transparency with Manolo, with José María, with all the people at the club… There is no problem. For me it is a pride to be at Malaga, that young players appear and compete as they are doing. We have a great human group and for me that is the most important thing. On the renewal, if we had won today, this week we would all have the decision made. Soccer gives us many lessons and we have to go step by step. When we have everything, I'll explain everything.
