Nuria Parrizas from Granada and Bernabé Zapata from Valencia were eliminated this Monday in their respective premieres in the clay court tournaments that are being held in Guadalajara (Mexico) and Santiago (Chile).
Parrizas, who started as the fifth seed in the Mexican event, fell 6-1, 6-4 to Czech tennis player Anna Karolina Schmiedlova in a match where he did not take advantage of his advantages in the second set to have lengthened it, while Zapata clearly lost to Argentine Facundo Bagnis, the eighth favorite in the Chilean capital, 6-3, 6-0.
