The Mexican striker Orbelín Pineda leaves RC Celta and will play next season at AEK Athens, where he played last season on loan, the Galician club announced this Saturday, which agreed his transfer with the Greek entity.
The 27-year-old attacker arrived in Vigo as a free agent in January 2022 after ending his contract with Cruz Azul, but he barely played seven games wearing the light blue shirt. The following season he was loaned to the Greek team, with whom he won the Hellenic Super League and Cup.
“RC Celta would like to wish Orbelín much success in this new sporting stage and express its gratitude for his exemplary behavior, professionalism and dedication during his stay in the Vigo squad,” the Vigo club said.
