“It is difficult to explain, two goals from set pieces, we have already conceded many this year, it has happened to us again, disappointed because we have lost, we wanted to win the Super Cup but we have not done enough. I wish all the luck in the world to Athletic, they have won and they deserve to be there,” he told Movistar Plus.
The Slovenian goalkeeper lamented the “failures” in a semifinal for a title that already brought about the irregular course in the League. “Many goals due to our mistakes, it’s a difficult moment, you have a 1-0 game and they score twice, we have to find an answer to this question because otherwise it will be difficult between now and the end of the season,” he confessed.
“We haven’t played a good game, that wasn’t the plan, it was to play more, have more of the ball and press. The team is disappointed, other games will come, we have to get up and correct mistakes and improve a lot. Every defeat is hard , today more because we wanted the Super Cup, but I’m sure the team will get up, we can talk here but we have to do it on the pitch”, he concluded.
