Nick Saban and QB Jalen Milroe talk about what Alabama did wrong on fourth down when they came up short against Michigan in the Rose Bowl today.

A group of people in a maize line yelled, clenched their hands, and moved their arms in alignment with Michigan’s field defense.

The ball is on the 3 yard line. The Wolverines said they thought the decision would be made for Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe because the Rose Bowl’s fate along with a place in an national championship game were on the line. They were right.

No. 4 Once Auburn scored on a fourth-down play in the Iron Bowl, Alabama remained in the running to feed the College Football Playoffs.

While Alabama was in the Rose Bowl, they lost in No. 1 Michigan 27–20 in overtime due to failed with a fourth-down play. That was the end of their season.

It was over when Milroe scored a 1-yard run, putting the team in 110th place. Milroe ran forward after taking the snap from center Seth McLaughlin.

When Milroe bowled toward the line of s, he hit JC Latham, his right tackle, hard. There was a lot of dust. Things went wrong with the goalpost.

It fell to the ground, or the boundaries on the sides shifted around. Auburn should thank the guys who beat them and take some time off, while Michigan should praise the defense that the got them in the national championship game.

Wolverines defensive back Derrick Moore stopped quarterback Jalen Milroe short of the goal line while he was planning to run up the middle.

It was simple to make. Before the play, every side had a break. The play was either the best of the academic year for Alabama or made people talk about the way good it was.

Nick Saban, on the other hand, thought that the way it was done was wrong, not the call itself.

“[Offensive coordinator] James [Rees] was just sensed consisting of the most significant move that our team could do was go on a passing run, and that was a bit like a 2-location athletics, one of our 2-the spot plays during the game,” said Saban in the post-game conference. It might have been a two-point play since the ball was on the 3-yard line.

We didn’t stop it, though, so it didn’t work. We did something wrong, so it didn’t work. We thought they would put stress on us, and they did. But it didn’t work out. We thought we may gape and block them.

It is important to remember there was was a mix-up after the game. Football was going to be run by first-year coach Tommy Rees, but neither Saban as well as Milroe in were asked if there was a pass.

A player named Tyler Booker told 247Sports that the move was an attacking play. But take a moment to see things from Prentice’s point of view.

Alabama has had trouble with bad snaps all season, even in the Rose Bowl. This one probably played a part in that it gave Milroe a moment to think.

“All of it led back to the level of education, and we only fell on who played,” said Milroe. “That was everything that was to it.” That was it.

I just thanks the guys in the outset for believing in my on the last chance to get the ball. We cleared the end zone, though, so we didn’t score.

“With everything requiring schoolwork, whether it’s game protection, running the contest, or having the game,” stated Milroe.

“The receiver and the back who runs have established an outstanding relationships, and that is an attribute we have made an effort to develop across the whole season.”

It has been three years since the Tide last won the national title. This is the longest this streak below Saban. The Tide didn’t beat two AP No. 1 teams in a single season for the initial time ever.
