The Municipal Secretary of the Environment of the town of Mangaratiba (Brazil), together with the Environmental Military Police and the agents of the Environmental Protection Group have arrested this Thursday Neymar Da Silva Santosfootballer’s father Neymar Jrfor the “illegal construction” of an artificial lake in his son’s mansion in Rio de Janeiro.
According to the local newspaper UOLthe authorities realized the work that the father of the former Barça player was doing through a video that he himself published on his social networks.
The aforementioned outlet reveals that, at the time of the arrest, there was great tension between the agents and Neymar Sr., who did not understand why he was prohibited from continuing the works in his son’s house, a 5,000-square-meter mansion .
They then explained to him that the construction of that lake would have a series of irregularities that entail environmental infractions, such as “the diversion of water courses, the collection of river water without authorization, movement of land, excavation and movement of stones and rocks without authorization” . Neymar Da Silva was released hours after the arrest, but now faces a fine of five million reais, almost one million euros.
