His contract with Malaga expires on June 30 and his future will be one of the topics that will mark the entity's agenda in the coming months. The coach, for the moment, shows his absolute confidence in the club and ensures that he is focused exclusively on his daily work.
“Always when a coach finishes his contract, this debate comes out. I have a lot of communication with Manolo. He also ends contract. We haven't had any conversations because we are focused on the competition. We know how this football business is run on the subject of coaches. My predisposition, what do you want me to tell you? I've always said it, being able to be a player, having lived as a grassroots coach, now in the first team … It is a dream. Pellicer will never be a problem for Málaga, neither for better nor for worse”, Affirmed the Castellón.
Pellicer also recognized the existing negotiation with Alexander González (“It is one of the names that the sports department is managing”). Manolo Gaspar has practically completed the negotiation to sign the vinotinto right-back, whom Gaspar and his team had followed for a long time and who, if the agreement is definitively closed, will stop at La Rosaleda for the minimum wage. “The sports management is doing an immense job,” added the coach.
Looking to the short-term future, the Malaguista coach asks 2021 for a truce with injuries: “In the new year I would ask that there were no injuries.
