Mediapro offers 50 million to broadcast Bolivian soccer

Bolivian soccer television rights for the next four seasons must be decided between three companies, lto the Spanish Mediapro, which offers almost 50 million dollars, Sport TV Rights, the current winner and that gives 46.5 million, and Tigo Bolivia, with 46.

The Bolivian Football Federation (FBF) announced this Monday the three companies that finally opt for the rights for the seasons from 2021 to 2024, after another five had also been interested.

Mediapro, through its Gol TV channel, presents a proposal for 49,979,276 dollars, through the modality of income distribution or associative, according to the FBF.

This amount results from the distribution of 70 percent of the income from the commercialization of the acquired rights, which must not be less than 45 million dollars according to the bidding conditions.

Sport Tv Rights, which now holds broadcasts of Bolivian soccer, offers $ 46,530,000, while Telefónica Celular de Bolivia (Telecel), known commercially as Tigo, gives 46 million.

The award of rights, that correspond to both the Professional Division and the Amateur Division, will be decided in the near future, according to the Federation.

Although these companies ultimately opt, Grupo BEO Sport, FECOTEL, OPI SAS, IMG Media Brasil and Nexus were also interested.
