Málaga, Levante and Lugo get their first victories

MADRID, 27 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Málaga, Levante and Lugo premiered this Saturday the victories in the 2022-23 SmartBank League at the expense of Mirandés, Tenerife and Leganés, respectively, in matches corresponding to the third day, in which several of the aspiring players are still to play. a leadership that is in the hands of Albacete since last Friday.

In Anduva, Málaga forgot their bad league start (they fell 0-4 last day at home) to move away from the red lantern thanks to goals from Javi Jiménez, the eternal Rubén Castro, at 41 years old, and Fran Sol, who also -just like the ex-Cartagena player- debuted as a scorer for the Boquerón team. The canary, in addition, with a record included by adding 22 consecutive seasons scoring in First or Second.

Mirandés closed the gap with a goal from García de Haro, but there was no way to knock down a Málaga that is already beginning to fuel up. In the same way as Levante, who won Tenerife (2-0) with good sensations with goals from Álex Cantero and Mustafi, who made a double header to receive a reward for his insistence. That goal killed the chicharreros, who finished with ten due to the expulsion of Aitor Sanz, and gave wings to Mehdi Nafti’s pupils.

For their part, at Anxo Carro, Lugo and Leganés met in search of the first victory of the season and the local team won it (1-0). The Galicians were enough of a headed goal by Josep Señé -on the verge of half an hour- to knock down the pepinero team, which adds its games by defeats. Imanol Idiakez’s men tried hard in the final stretch, but neither Arnaiz nor Naim could change their luck.

In addition, Sporting did not go beyond a goalless draw against Burgos in a match where Pedro Díaz had the clearest chance for the Asturian side. Those of Abelardo, who continue without losing, remain provisionally in the ‘playoff’ positions, while those of Julián Calero will continue very close to that privileged area.
