Luis García Plaza: “The team has to score again away from home”

The Royal Majorca a new challenge has been raised according to the words of its technician Luis Garcia Plaza. The numbers away from the island are weak and the vermilion have to add more visitors, an aspect that the Madrid player has especially highlighted in the press conference offered before traveling to Galician lands.

According to Luis García “there is a schedule of six games, four of which are away and at home we will receive two very big teams such as Real Madrid and Atléticoand we will try to compete with them and why not beat them, in fact, this season we have already beaten Atleti, but I want to emphasize that, above all, the team has to score again away from home, we cannot make four trips and lose all four and this one in Vigo is the first of the four. We have to put Celta in difficulties and take advantage of it.”

Regarding the Celtiña team, the Majorcan coach considers that “It’s a team with a defined style, with a lot of quality up front that have great definition and a lot of mobilitythey fall in bands and participate a lot in the collective game and try to carry the weight of the games”.

That said, what worries the Madrilenian the most are his own after showing so much irregularity in his level: “We have to recover our real level and improve the offensive side, we have to show that match personality again and from there grow and improve, above all, in the decisions we make from three quarters of the field, that’s where we have to be a team with much more bite and if we succeed, that serves to benefit”.

Luis Garcia insists on stating that “The team tries to work well defensively, but I think that, lately, the rivals are getting it right with us, I mean goals like those scored by Valencia from 30 meters or the first by Real with the play between Merino and Silvabut I repeat that I am more concerned that the day we are well we will not score or win, because if we are competing we cannot return empty-handed, and that is the goal we have in mind”.

Regarding the alignment, Luis García talks about possible changes with respect to the last game: “I am clear who will play and the players already know it, we will bring in two or three fresh playerswhat it is about is for the team to do well again, to feel good and to be competitive because we have players capable of doing more damage”. In this sense, the already recovered Baba, could return to the starting eleven, although the coach has specified that he is not yet for ninety minutes and that if he leaves from the start his participation will not be complete and if he stays on the bench he could have more minutes than when he returned on the last day in which he played just ten minutes. Another novelty could also be the return to the eleven of Angel to the detriment of Amath.

About the game system that throughout the season has already gone through 1-4-4-2, 1-4-3-3 or 1-4-2-3-1, Luis García assures that “more than the system, what we want and intend is to recover sensations and that we feel comfortable on the pitch, it is about being more competitive than the day of the Real societymore decisive and forceful, we must take a step forward in both areas so that this allows us to get results”.

On the other hand, the technician has advanced that the new signing, Clément Grenier will travel with the expedition, although the Frenchman is not yet ready to play: “We have assessed his physical level and that is why he has been signed, he will soon be available, but we have to be careful because he has not played for a long time, he will go from less to more and he will travel because I want him to be with us “.

Finally, and on the occasion of the RCD Mallorca’s 106th anniversary on March 5, Luis García said goodbye to the press island with a congratulatory message for the Balearic entity: “I want to congratulate our club on its 106th birthday, I am proud to be a little part of this great history, I congratulate all Mallorcan fans, all the fans and I think that the best thing we can do is that next year the 107 be fulfilled in the First Division”.
