The Real Madrid has confirmed the signing of the Brazilian midfielder Reinieryoung player Flamengo, until June 2026 to be part of Castilla, the white subsidiary. On Sunday, the player turned 18 and that was the date that both clubs had to respect, according to FIFA rules, to make the transfer official.
Reinier is concentrated these days with the Brazilian national team, which is playing the U-23 Pre-Olympic Tournament in Colombia. On Sunday he played 17 minutes in the victory against Per (1-0) at the Centennial Stadium in Armenia.
After debuting with the first team of Flamengo on July 31, Reinier scored six goals in his 14 games in the Brasileirao, championship in which the club was proclaimed champion, and that served to get the double next to the Copa Libertadores.
Its high stature (185 centimeters) and the elegance of its movements have caused the immediate comparisons with Kak, one of the dolos of the Brazilian soccer of the past decade, also natural of Brasilia.
Reinier's importance in the plans of Jorge Jess caused Flamengo not to release the player for the U17 World Cup dispute, where the Brazilian team was proclaimed champion on November 17.
This incorporation is another chapter in the new Real Madrid sports strategy. In July 2018, he paid 45 million euros to Flamengo for Vinicius, then with 17 years. Also, this summer has disbursed that same amount for Rodrygo, with 18 years, and has incorporated Kubo, also 18, to whom he has ceded to Real Mallorca.
