Juanmi negotiates the renewal of his contract with Betis

Real Betis is in negotiations with the agents of Juanmi Jimenez and with the footballer from Malaga himself – top Spanish scorer last season in all competitions, with 20 goals – to discuss the renewal of his current contract, which expires in June 2024. The Verdiblanco club is also in open negotiations with Bartra and William Carvalho to extend their contracts, which expire in 2023.

Negotiations with Juanmi began a few weeks ago, according to Abc, and the Verdiblanco club hopes to soon reach an agreement with the 29-year-old striker from Malaga, which will surely extend their relationship for one or two more years, until 2025 or 2026. Juanmi’s contract extension would join those carried out in recent months by Betis with coach Manuel Pellegrini and players such as Nabil Fekir, Sergio Canales, Borja Iglesias, Edgar González, Rodri Sánchez, Claudio Bravo, Andrés Guardado, Álex Moreno , Borja Iglesias or Victor Camarasa. Another who must announce his renewal at any time is the captain, Joaquín Sánchez, while with Bartra and William Carvalho -whose contract ends in 2023- an extension of the contract has also been negotiated for weeks, which will also be offered to Guido Rodríguez , which, like Juanmi, ends in 2024.

Juanmi arrived at Real Betis in the summer of 2019 from Real Sociedad in exchange for around 8 million euros and had countless problems with injuries in his first two seasons, until in the last one, 2021/22, he gave the best version of his sports career, improving all his goalscoring records. The 16 goals scored by Juanmi in this past league equal those he achieved in the previous four seasons, the first two at Betis and the last two at Real Sociedad.
