David Martín: “Against Italy it will be another story, we face the world champion”

MADRID, 23 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish water polo coach, David Martín, made a positive assessment after the second victory in as many days at the World Cup in Hungary, after thrashing South Africa 28-2, but he acknowledged that the difficulty will come on the third day against Italy.

“Today we had to win by the greatest difference in case we needed the ‘goal-average’ against Italy. The team has found a good tone, with good rhythm and confidence,” analyzed the national coach in statements provided by the Royal Spanish Swimming Federation ( RFEN).

“The third game will be another story,” he said about the duel against Italy this Saturday from 6:00 p.m. “We are facing the world champion, a team that knows how to play these games, but, yes, with the physical-technical tone to be able to compete and take the victory”, he sentenced.
