How much is the victory in the Europa League?

It is one of the great mysteries surrounding this edition of the Europa League, as well as a core one: whether the pandemic is going to allow it to end. What money is going to be distributed this course in the second maximum continental competition? How much does each win cost? UEFA published those figures in July 2019 for last year's edition, 2019/20. But this year it has not done so, probably due to the uncertainty and loss of income caused by the coronavirus. Everyone assumes that the distribution will be lower, but by what percentage? Last season 510 million euros were distributed among the participants of the Europa League, a trickle of money perhaps difficult to achieve with half of Europe locked up.

La Real still do not know how much they are going to pocket for the two victories achieved after the dispute of the first three days of the group stage, but they trust Anoeta that the amount is not much lower than last year. In the 2019/20 campaign, the compensation just for participating in the group stage was 2.92 million euros. Each victory meant an added injection of 570,000 euros and each draw, 190,000 euros. Applying that criterion, the Real would have already pocketed 4.06 million euros for these three games, more than one for their triumphs. But at the moment they have no confirmation that it will be like that.

From there, all that is happening is to increase the coffers: the first of the group took last season a million euros, half the second and to that we must add half a million more to qualify for the sixteenth.

However, on the ‘Wikipedia’ page that addresses this edition of the Europa League, the 2020/21, rewards are very low: 200,000 euros for victory, 100,000 for a draw and 400,000 for the winner of the group.
