Scare in Girona before embarking on the trip to Almería this Sunday. The Girona entity has communicated this Saturday afternoon that one of the members of the first team has tested positive in the latest COVID-19 tests made to the staff and coaching staff last Friday morning.
After knowing the result, The club quickly activated the health protocol established by La Liga and the CSD and the training scheduled for this Saturday at Vinya has been suspended. Even so, all the members of the Girona team have been summoned to undergo the COVID-19 detection tests again and, except for the person who already tested positive in the analysis on Friday, all have tested negative. Immediately, the affected player, who is asymptomatic, has been isolated and quarantined at his home address. Despite this positive for COVID-19, Girona will not alter its travel plan to face Almería this Sunday (9:00 pm). The expedition will travel by plane in the morning.
