MADRID, Jan. 20 (SportsFinding) –
The Futbolistas ON union has assured that “it will not accept” that the players of the First Iberdrola, the highest division of Spanish women's football, are disrespected, and has opted to carry out a “firm response” in the absence of a definitive signature of the Collective Agreement despite the pre-agreement reached with the Association of Women's Soccer Clubs (ACFF).
In a statement, Futbolistas ON recalled that on December 20 the ACFF, the Association of Spanish Footballers (AFE) and ON Futbolistas themselves signed a pre-agreement of the Negotiating Table for the first Collective Agreement of Women's Soccer for First Division players .
Said pre-agreement established the deadline for signing the agreement on January 15. “However, we are on January 20 and, after several exchanges of proposals between the parties involved to agree on the final drafting of the text, ACFF has confirmed that it is still in negotiations with the RFEF for accession to the Elite Program, which logically it makes impossible the signing of the mentioned collective agreement, “he said.
For this reason, Futbolistas ON has expressed its “bewilderment” and “most absolute disapproval” that the pre-agreement signed and “announced as definitive” by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has not been respected.
“The soccer players deserve that the agreed thing is respected and more when after a year and a half of negotiations it seems that their coveted collective agreement will never come, which we understand to be considered disrespectful towards a group that many say they defend, but they only use demagogically or populist, “he lamented.
In this sense, and given that the Women's Soccer Collective Agreement “is still on the air”, Futbolistas ON “will study the measures to be adopted, as it is clear that this situation cannot be consented and deserves a firm response.”
