Felipe and Letizia’s getaway to Zaragoza to pick up Leonor: dinner and improvised photocall

Surprise in Zaragoza. Don Felipe y Mrs. Letizia They traveled this Tuesday to the Aragonese capital to pick up Leonor, who is already enjoying the Easter holidays at the General Military Academy of the Army, which he entered last August. The kings traveled in their own vehicle to La General to meet their daughter again and on their way back to Madrid they stopped in the town of La Almunia de Doña Godina, where they enjoyed a family dinner based on typical dishes from the area.

They chose the El Patio Hotel Restaurant to regain strength and it was precisely this establishment that has made known, through social networks, the presence of the kings and their daughter, the princess of Asturias, in its rooms. They had not warned of their arrival, so it was a surprise for all the employees to find such sophisticated diners: “Yesterday we had a very special visit, it was an honor to serve you, thank you for choosing us.”

They were all dressed casually, with jeans and a sweater, the mother and daughter’s matching ones, with sailor stripes, one of the star prints of this new season. The queen also chose a biker jacket to keep warm on the cold Aragonese night, while Leonor opted for a feather jacket and an XXL scarf. After dinner, they took part in a group photo with the entire team.

The kings have cleared their agenda throughout Holy Week to enjoy these days with the family. The holidays started last weekend in Madrid with a plan for two: They visited a bookstore and saw Anthony Hopkins’ latest film at the Ideal cinemas. Starting this Wednesday, the plans will be for four, since Leonor’s return to Zarzuela is also joined by the Infanta Sofiawho studies at boarding school UWC Atlantic College de Gales, in the United Kingdom. The youngest, who follows in her sister’s footsteps in terms of academic training, will be in Spain until April 7, when she will return to school to face the final stretch of her first international baccalaureate course.

They affirm that Sofía has adapted very well to this new stage, like her sister Leonor. The princess, whom her teachers describe as “an outstanding student”, is very integrated into the Military Academy, where she has made good friends with the rest of her classmates. With them she faced her last period of maneuvers a few days ago in San Gregorio and celebrated the end of them in a famous nightclub in Zaragoza where We caught the heiress dancing and vaping like so many other 20-year-olds.
