Enric Mas renews with the Movistar Team until 2025

MADRID, 27 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish cyclist Enric Mas, twice on the podium in La Vuelta a España in 2018 and 2021 and sixth in the Tour de France last year, has renewed for three more years, until 2025, with the Movistar Team, the telephone team announced on Monday .

Speaking to the Movistar Team press team, Enric Mas acknowledged that it was a “very easy” decision. “For a long time it was clear to me that I wanted to stay in the Movistar Team. Without a doubt, the most important reason for continuing is the great human group that we have, both the staff, with enormous technical and personal quality, and the riders, who leave it all for you,” he said.

Mas indicated that these months of 2022 have been “complicated” due to “various incidents” in races such as the Tirreno-Adriatico, País Vasco or Dauphiné Liberé, which have prevented him from leaving his best version on the roads. “But that’s cycling and life, and you have to take things as they come,” he said.

The leader of Movistar said that he goes to the Tour “with the best of hopes this year.” “The goal for the next three years is to fight to get on those podiums in the Tour, Giro or Vuelta or, why not, aspire to victory in one of the Grand Tours”, the Balearic runner wished.
