Daniel Sancho’s defense maintains that the murder was not premeditated: the report that changes everything

The son of Rodolfo Sancho and Silvia Bronchalo He could even face a possible death penalty for the alleged murder of the Colombian doctor Edwin Arrieta. To avoid the maximum penalty, his defense will try to demonstrate that the murder was not premeditated, as the first indications of the police investigation indicate.

To do this, the Balfagón-Chippirrás office analyzes the utensils that Sancho Gracia’s grandson bought in Thailand. “The knife that the Police show us corresponds to a knife with similar characteristics to those usually used by Daniel in the kitchen,” they detail in a dossier to which he has had access. The world and that they have prepared based on the police investigation carried out in Thailand.

In this document, the lawyers-criminologists try to demonstrate that the utensils he bought were for culinary purposes in the Asian country, due to his status as a chef and his passion for Thai cuisine: “Among the many applications in the kitchen, the knife , the saw and the board are also used to deal with durian – a very popular fruit in the country – or open coconuts, among others.

And they add: “If (Daniel) wants to dismember a corpse, based on his knowledge as a chef, he does not buy the saw that the Police indicate; he would have bought his own saw used in the kitchen to cut pieces of meat.”

At the same time, they cling to the fact that the ticket for this saw did not appear and they also focus on “the green bags” through which the Police came to him. In this sense, the office assures that the garbage bags do not match the brand and model of the establishment where Sancho purchased them.

On the other hand, the Spanish defense also highlights that “from the first moments of his arrest, Daniel asked for forgiveness from Thailand and declared the enormous affection he had for this country.” This Tuesday, October 17, the extension of time that the Prosecutor’s Office has to review the police report and send it to the magistrate ends, so that he can decide the date of the trial. The chef, for the moment, is still without a Thai lawyer, waiting for his father to resolve this matter.
