Competition rejects the allegations by Germán Sánchez: a penalty match

The Competition Committee of the Spanish Federation (RFEF) has rejected the allegations presented by Granada against the red card that was shown last day to German Sanchez. The Andalusian team player was sent off by Soto Grado, a Huesca-Granada referee, in the last minute of the match for “tackling an opponent using excessive force in the contest for the ball, hitting his thigh.”

The Committee has sanctioned the footballer with a suspension matchTherefore, Diego Martínez, unless a club appeal to the Appeals Committee is successful, will not be able to count on him in the clash this coming Sunday against Elche at Nuevo Los Cármenes (18:30).

In its resolution, Competition admits that the play admits interpretations, but from the viewing of the images provided by Granada, the existence of a ‘manifest material error’ by the referee is not deduced, the only case in which arbitration decisions are revoked.
