Ceballos and a return to Madrid: “I'm not the only one who decides”

Dani Ceballos is clear that London is a stage. The Utrera wants to return to Real Madrid. In an exclusive interview with The Sun, the now Arsenal player talks about the whites and his future at La Castellana from north London. “The Bernabéu is the Mecca of football. You can ask Özil, who always says that Real Madrid is the best club in the world. Wearing that shield is the dream and goal of 99% of the players,” he says, praising for the white club.

About his future, it was clear. He will respect the agreement with Arsenal but Dani Ceballos wants to return to Real Madrid although he knows that the decision is not exclusively his. “Last year I was happy at Arsenal and we reached an agreement with Real Madrid to continue for another year. No problem because we all understood that it was the best for my future. I have a contract with Real Madrid for the next three years and I am not the only one who decides. It also depends on the president and the coach, but nobody can refuse to play for Real Madrid.

The Utrera is living his second season at Arsenal. At the end of this, the whites and the midfielder will decide on their future.

End the fight

The way back to the top has not been easy for Arsenal. The Gunners returned to playing metal and twice with the return of Mikel Arteta. The former midfielder took over the club's bench and gave the men of the Emirates Stadium competitiveness again. Now, not everything is a fairy tale. In recent weeks, the tension increased and David Luiz and Ceballos collided during training. The Brazilian and the Spanish had their pluses and minuses. The midfielder wanted to go out to settle the issue after Arteta confirmed what happened.

“I cannot deny that there was not a clash, a fight. It was not an exemplary behavior but it is good to see that Arsenal is still alive, that it has character. We are two players (David Luiz and him) who have two similar types of leadership and these things can happen “, it is justified.

The Utrera assures that he did not want to let him be and that same afternoon they solved everything to be able to continue normally. “We did not miss a single day. We spoke that same afternoon after training. Now, we have to learn from what has happened so that it does not happen again,” he acknowledges to the British newspaper.

According to the press of the islands, David Luiz and Ceballos had this clash after the Brazilian recriminated the ways in which he treated several homegrown players who trained with the first team. The fight was recognized at a press conference by Arteta, who was really upset that this story ended up in the press and confirmed the apologies between them. “They are simply the levels of competitiveness that we set, but, obviously, there is a fine line between competitiveness and something that goes beyond that. Something that we neither support nor want to see,” said the Spanish coach.

Regarding Arteta, Ceballos is clear, his arrival has been essential to bring Arsenal back to life. “The team was practically dead but after Arteta arrived we won the FA Cup and the Community Shield. Not a year has passed since his arrival and he has given a radical change to the club. It is the soul and it is also, the players trust him one hundred percent, “he acknowledges.

The objectives of the club, for Ceballos, is the Champions League. “Arsenal have to fight to be among the top four. Before there were five teams for four places but now, there are six or seven. You only have to see City, one of the best teams in England, or United. They are not in Then, Southampton or Aston Villa, who last year struggled not to go down, have surprised everyone. It is a tremendously competitive league. Everyone can win everyone but our time will come “, sentenced the Spaniard.
